Life Events is a product on Facebook where people share and come together around their milestones. Last year, we noticed that while a lot of major moments were represented in the product, some pretty important ones were missing from the experience. Including: Coming Out.
So, on October 11th, National Coming Out Day in the U.S., we launched the Coming Out Life Event. Complete with the only non-blue icon in the system. 🏳️🌈❤️

At the beginning of this year, we re-launched the Life Event product. And upgraded the Coming Out and Create Your Own Pride Life Event experience to include a range of default content and an animated icon.
EVENTS
We celebrated the re-launch with the Facebook/Instagram Australia teams, by incorporating the Life Event work into their Mardi Gras parade floats.
